The Challenge

Developing electric weeding equipment without the use of herbicides that would be efficient, portable, and economical, meeting the needs of small and medium producers. The challenge was to create a versatile solution capable of operating in different cultures and areas, including hard-to-reach locations, without requiring large structures or dedicated machines.

Furthermore, the equipment needed to offer mobility, ease of transport, and simple operation, allowing precise applications in crop rows, borders, and areas where conventional solutions are not viable.

The Concept

The BOLT is electric weeding equipment designed to be coupled directly to a vehicle’s hitch, transforming the car into a practical and efficient application platform. Compact and portable, it allows rapid movement between areas and operational flexibility in different production systems.

The equipment operates with an electrode width of 0.3 m and an application speed of up to 2 km/h, ensuring efficient weed control through controlled electrical discharges. With an approximate weight of 380 kg (BOLT only), it combines robustness and stability with mobility.

The system is accompanied by the XHP applicator, an extension applicator with a reach of up to 25 meters, which expands the operating area without the need to constantly move the vehicle. This configuration makes the BOLT a highly versatile, sustainable solution aligned with modern agricultural management practices.
